Professional organizations team up August 15 to raise funds to help college students

The Volusia/Flagler Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association is joining forces with the American Advertising Federation-Daytona Beach (AAF) and the Hometown Business Alliance to raise scholarship funds for student education.  The public is invited to the AAF Bids4Kids Auction on August 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Dunn’s Attic & Auction House, 136 W. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach.

Members have collected more than 100 items ranging from hotel packages, restaurant gift cards, theme park tickets, NASCAR memorabilia, media space and more.

A cover charge of $5 can be applied toward an auction item. Join us for a fun evening of food, drinks and a chance to bid on unique items and services to benefit local students.

The Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) is the oldest public relations organization in the United States. Members represent a variety of different organizations including private and public corporations, government entities, not-for-profits, counseling firms and independent practitioners. As a statewide Association, FPRA boasts nearly 1,500 professional and student members, all which make up the 15 professional and 11 student chapters. FPRA provides a variety of services, benefits and opportunities dedicated to the success of its public relations professionals from continuing education, professional accreditation, monthly professional development programs, professional recognition and annual conference.
