Good writing remains the foundation of great communication. Whether your message is conveyed through press releases, ad copy, blogs, pitches or tweets, technology cannot replace effective writing skills. Join the Volusia/Flagler Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) on Tuesday, Oct. 8 as keynote speaker Cynthia Dusenbery shows us “How to Write Right Again.” Dusenbery is managing editor at Anthem Motorsports, a leading provider of marketing, promotion and public relations services for the motorsports industry.
“The public relations field is about communication and effective writing is an essential skill in our industry,” said Stefany Strong, FPRA Volusia/Flagler Chapter president. “We are fortunate to have a highly regarded communication professional share valuable tips that will help polish our messaging skills.”
The October meeting will also feature a tribute to Breast Cancer Awareness Month. FPRA member Kelsi Gulig is hosting a Florida Hospital Pink Army party that includes a video presentation. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. The good news is that attendees will find out how to make a difference.
Non-members are welcome to attend the luncheon event hosted by Florida Hospital at the Daytona Beach International Airport, Volusia Room, 700 Catalina Drive at 11:30 a.m. The registration fee, which includes lunch, is $18 for students, $20 for FPRA members and $25 for non-members. RSVP to Bissy Holden at email@example.com by October 4.
