Join FPRA Volusia/Flagler Chapter Tuesday, June 9, as we hear from Derek Catron, assistant managing editor of The Daytona Beach News-Journal, as he discusses the role the newspaper plays in the community and how to get the most out of your interactions with the press.

Catron is a news vet, covering Volusia County for 25 years including the last 15 years at the News-Journal. In addition to serving as assistant managing editor overseeing a newsroom of dozens of reporters, Catron is an investigative reporter and political editor. The News-Journal is the biggest source of news in Volusia and Flagler counties.

The event will be from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, at LPGA Clubhouse (1000 Champions Drive, Daytona Beach). RSVP and pay online today! Luncheon cost is $18 for students, $20 for FPRA members and $25 for nonmembers. Guests are welcome.
