DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Public relations and communications professionals, as well as business leaders and spokespersons, are invited to join the Volusia/Flagler Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association for “Media Day” on April 21 from 8 a.m. to noon in the Rolex 24 Lounge at the Daytona International Speedway, 1801 W. International Speedway Blvd., Daytona Beach.
During this special event, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with reporters from local print, television, online and radio outlets. The event will kick off with a media panel discussion, followed by rotating roundtable meetings with media representatives.
Daytona International Speedway vice president of operations Andrew Gurtis will lead attendees on a tour of DAYTONA Rising, a $400 million reimagining of the American icon that is the Daytona International Speedway. Five expanded and redesigned entrances, called “injectors,” lead fans to a series of escalators and elevators, transporting them to three different concourse levels. Each level features spacious social areas, or “neighborhoods,” along the nearly mile-long frontstretch.
The cost is $20 for students, $35 for members and $50 for non-members. The general public is welcome. To RSVP, click here.
