DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (September 26, 2016) – “Using Video in your PR Campaign” will be the topic of the next meeting of the Volusia/Flagler Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association on Thursday, Oct. 20, at LPGA International.
Speaker Jason Giraulo, the Digital Communications Coordinator for the City of Palm Coast and leader of the Brand Plus team, will also teach attendees how to make a video on their cell phones. Prior to working for the City, Giraulo owned a video production company and also worked for WJXT Channel 4 in Jacksonville.
“My goal is to teach people that you don’t need to hire a consultant or video professional to create compelling video that helps promote your message, is highly shareable and maybe even viral,” said Giraulo. “I will share tips, tricks and tools that are free or of very little cost, as well as apps for both iPhone and Android.”
With a BA in Video Production from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Giraulo is an affiliate member of the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors, oversees Palm Coast’s social media strategy, handles graphic design, produces video and serves as a Public Information Officer. He is a member of the team that wrote and produced the award-winning video Zombie Guide to Bicycle Safety.
The luncheon meeting is open to public relations professionals, business people and the public and will be held at LPGA International, 1000 Champions Drive, Daytona Beach. Check-in and networking begin at 11:30 a.m., and the program starts at noon.
The cost, which includes lunch, is $20 for FPRA members, $25 for non-members and $18 for college students. Public is welcome. To RSVP, click here.
