DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (December 19, 2016) – “Managing the Message: A Look at Crisis Response at Delta Air Lines” will be the topic of the next meeting of the Volusia/Flagler Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association on Thursday, Jan. 19, at LPGA International.
Earlier in 2016, Delta Airlines experienced a major system outage that impacted thousands of flights and passengers for days. Trebor Banstetter, Director of Corporate Reputation at Delta Air Lines in Atlanta, will discuss how the airline communicated about a widespread event to a variety of internal and external audiences.
Banstetter leads a team that manages communications on a wide range of issues including public policy, investor relations, media relations and CEO communications. Prior to joining Delta, he was a journalist at publications including the Wall Street Journal, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the Palm Beach Post and the News-Journal of Daytona Beach. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism.
The luncheon meeting is open to public relations professionals, business people and the public and will be held at LPGA International, 1000 Champions Drive, Daytona Beach. Check-in and networking begin at 11:30 a.m., and the program starts at noon.
