Learn best practices for ‘Email Marketing’ at May 18 meeting of FPRA Volusia/Flagler Chapter

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (April 17, 2017) – “Email Marketing – Break through the Inbox Clutter & More” will be the topic of the next meeting of the Volusia/Flagler Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association, on Thursday, May 18. The speaker will be Diane Michael, aka “Digital Di,” of Callan Group Communications. RSVP here.

The presentation will dive deeper into the email marketing maze, teaching you time-saving short cuts including:

  • How to build fresh email lists
  • What type of content gets read
  • The template game – make your newsletter look professional
  • Subject line Do’s
  • CAN-SPAM laws
  • How often to send
  • How to incorporate social media effectively
  • Effective tracking – what it all means
  • Plan in advance every 6 months

Michael got her start in non-profit management in 1998, and with the support of volunteers, raised millions dollars for different charities around the world. In 2006, she created Buy Me Love Benefits, an event production company that focused on bachelor/ette auctions that raise money for charities.

After moving to Daytona Beach in 2008, Michael created Callan Group Communications, a communications agency. She also spent time as a reservist in the U.S. Army for eight years and was deployed in 2003 overseas during Operation Enduring Freedom. She was awarded one of “The Most Influential Women in Business” by The Volusia/Flagler Business Report in 2012 and 2014 and has served on numerous charitable boards including the Museum of Arts & Sciences, the Halifax Humane Society and the Children’s Advocacy Center.

She recently opened The Good Food Truck with her best friend, Chef Mark Pullin, and runs the local Food Truck Movement.

The luncheon meeting is open to public relations professionals, business people and the public and will be held at LPGA International, 1000 Champions Drive, Daytona Beach. Check-in and networking begin at 11:30 a.m., and the program starts at noon.
