Florida Public Relations Association State President Ryan Gerds, APR, CPRC, will speak on his theme for the year, “Find Your Balance,” and the new officers for the Volusia/Flagler Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association will be installed, at the chapter’s Wednesday, Nov. 29, luncheon meeting. A member of the Ocala Chapter of FPRA, Gerds is director of marketing at Captozyme, a Gainesville company that develops food-enhancing enzymes to promote healthy living. He leads the company’s marketing, advertising and public relations efforts.
The new state president’s “Find Your Balance” theme for FPRA focuses on:
· PR balance
· Productivity and time management
· Work-life balance
Gerds will also install the Volusia/Flagler Chapter’s new officers for the 2017-2018 program year. Synergy Billing Vice President of Communications and Marketing Jeannette Duerr, APR, will be installed as the chapter’s new president.

The luncheon meeting is open to public relations professionals, business people and the public and will be held at LPGA International, 1000 Champions Drive, Daytona Beach. Check-in and networking begin at 11:30 a.m., and the program starts at noon.
Please RSVP at least two days in advance. The cost, which includes lunch, is $20 for FPRA members, $25 for non-members and $18 for college students. Payment should be made online in advance; the cost is $5 more for members who pay at the door.
