What does it take to get a seat at “the table”? Are you ready to bring your communication prowess to the executive level?

Join the Florida Public Relations Association Volusia/Flagler Chapter on Feb. 28, 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., as we hear from a distinguished CEO/PR Pro panel comprised of government leaders, seasoned counselors and other executives who understand the value of public relations as a management function. Get tips on how to earn your seat at “the table” and learn from some of the most respected leaders in management today. Hear from some of the best executives and communication pros in the business, including Jim Dinneen and Joanne Magley from Volusia County Government, Lori Campbell Baker, APR and Kate Holcomb, APR,  from the Daytona Beach Area Convention & Visitor’s Bureau,  and Jason Meyer and Jeanette Duerr, APR, from Synergy Billing. The luncheon meeting is open to public relations professionals, business people and the public and will be held at LPGA International, 1000 Champions Drive, Daytona Beach. Check-in and networking begin at 11:30 a.m., and the program starts at noon.

In addition, Pleus will be sharing Joe Curley, APR, CPRC’s white paper, “PR is Not Always Loved by Management; Here’s How to Get the Romance Started” with each registered attendee of the Feb. 28 event. In it, Curley shares 10 strategies to earn a position on the executive management team and the five absolute advantages to excel at any PR job.

Please RSVP at least two days in advance. The cost, which includes lunch, is $20 for FPRA members, $25 for non-members and $18 for college students. Payment should be made online in advance; the cost is $5 more for members who pay at the door.
