The Volusia/Flagler Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association will be holding Media Day 2019 from 7:30 a.m. to noon Thursday, October 3 at Daytona International Speedway.
Public relations and communications professionals, business leaders and spokespersons are encouraged to register to attend this special event that provides the opportunity to connect with Central Florida print, television, online and radio reporters and representatives.
The event, sponsored by Daytona International Speedway, will include a keynote presentation from FPRA State President and Senior Director of Public Relations for Universal Orlando Resort, Alyson Lundell, APR, CPRC. Attendees will then hear from panels of leading representatives from Central Florida’s media outlets including WESH 2’s Claire Metz, WKMG News Channel 6 News Director Allison McGinley, WFTV Channel 9, Fox 35 Orlando, The Daytona Beach News-Journal, Observer Media Group, Hometown News WSBB Radio, WMFE Radio, and many more.
Participants will also have an opportunity to take a group picture at Victory Lane and a lap around the world’s most famous speedway in a pace car vehicle. Continental breakfast and refreshments will be provided courtesy of Daytona International Speedway.
Registration fees are $35 for FPRA members, $50 for non-members and $20 for college students.
