Media Day 2017 will be Wednesday, Oct. 25, at Daytona International Speedway

The Volusia/Flagler Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association will be holding Media Day 2017 from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Oct. 25, in the Media Room in the infield of Daytona International Speedway.

Public relations and communications professionals, business leaders and spokespersons are encouraged to register to attend this special event that provides the opportunity to connect with Central Florida print, television, online and radio reporters and representatives. The event will kick off with media panel discussions, followed by an opportunity to meet directly with media representatives.

Media Day 2017 will include a photo opp in Victory Lane and a hot lap around the world’s most famous speedway! Daytona International Speedway is sponsoring the event, and DIS Director of Public Relations Andrew Booth, longtime member of FPRA Volusia/Flagler, will host the event.

Registration fees are $35 for FPRA members, $50 for non-members and $20 for college students. RSVP online today; space is limited.

APR/CPRC Mixer rescheduled for Nov. 2

The APR/CPRC Mixer had to be rescheduled because of the hurricane, and it’s now set for Wednesday, Nov. 2. It will be 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Houligan’s, 1725 W. International Speedway Blvd., Daytona Beach.

The Mixer will be a great place to explore the possibility of earning your APR or CPRC credentials! On hand will be those who have earned their credentials and can answer questions about the process, amount of time it takes to prepare and value of pursuing these credentials.
